Michael's House Alumni Connection
Overview
The mission of the Michael's House Alumni Connection is to assist and support the continued addiction recovery of each and every one of Michael's House alumni. As men and women who have come to Michael's House for help with your substance abuse issues, it’s our job and duty to help facilitate continued recovery once you leave our campus. After all, the path to recovery is hardest out in “the real world,” and we feel alumni do the best who have connections to other alumni as well as continued communications and contact with Michael's House.
The Michael's House Alumni Connection consists of individuals in recovery that have completed a course of treatment at Michael's House.
The Alumni Connection exists to build a healthy network for those in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse. This is accomplished through service work, as well as social events, that provide a safe place to be together and have fun. These are critical components of building and maintaining a fulfilling life in recovery.
We are dedicated to providing hope, stability, and encouragement to individuals transitioning from treatment into the recovery community. To fulfill our mission and give back to others, we provide numerous opportunities for members to voluntarily participate in recovery-related service projects, social activities, and community events.
Our alumni coordinator is available to help alumni via e-mail or phone (full contact information is below) to do the following:
- Find recovery resources in your area for moral and communal addiction support
- Make contact with other Michael's House alumni (local or otherwise)
- Answer ongoing questions about recovery issues & your ongoing addiction support
How To Stay Connected
If you have moved since your stay at Michael's House please go to the Alumni Contact Update section of this website and complete the online form. Doing so will insure that you receive all the emails sent from us as well as invitations to upcoming events and programs. Whenever your mailing address or email address changes, please come back to this section and update your new information.
Remember, you will always be a member of the Michael's House family. We are always available to help you find ongoing addiction support services.

Alumni Spotlight
We have helped thousands of alumni recover from alcohol and drug addiction and to create a better life for themselves.
The best part of our job is in seeing you our clients create proud, happy and sober lives. Each and every person has a unique story to tell. So, we have developed a program for alumni to return to campus to record their personal story for us to share on social media platforms for others to hear and learn from their experience.

Part of our commitment to keeping you connected with your fellow alumni is via the Michael's House Connect app…designed exclusively for Michael's House alumni. A members only platform intended for all alumni but especially helpful to those of you in early recovery. The tool is intentionally geared to increase accountability and build a social network of support for those navigating their own recovery journey.

Since 1989, Michael's House has treated thousands of men and women for addiction, and 750 clients complete our treatment program each year. But your relationship with us doesn’t end when you leave our campus, it has just begun. At Michael's House, we focus on your success and provide an alumni program to help you stay connected with others in recovery. Our alumni community is full of dedicated individuals who provide positive and motivational support to other alumni in recovery and share their experience, strength, and hope.

Service Projects
An important part of recovery from addiction is being in service for others. Being a helpful and proactive part of your community is an integral part of your spiritual and social wellbeing in addiction recovery. Every Sunday we gather at 6:30am at the United Methodist Church located at 1555 East Alejo Road in Palm Springs to serve breakfast and offer fellowship to the unhoused of Palm Springs.

- Personal Finance and Literacy
- Interest Inventory and Volunteering.
- Structure and Routine in Early Recovery.
- Our Annual Alumni Weekend Gathering.
- Ongoing interaction with other Michael's House alumni.
Our alumni coordinator is available to help locate recovery resources in your area, answer questions about recovery issues and addiction support, and reinforce the commitment you have to your recovery.
